Drawing Week 3

LINEAR DRAWING

Today, we learned the concept of Linear Drawing. It’s a precise kind which needs a truck of patience and also a understanding of the limits and borders of the object you are going to draw. At first it seemed a little easy for we had to draw just lines but trust me it’s not. It’s complex but also fun. And the best part about it is that each time you try you just get better at it because of the muscle memory stored in our heads.

Later then we were asked our draw our neighbors, not literally, just our neighbors in the class. I know you cannot tell, she is Rakshita. I tried!

This activity in the class made me realize how i need a whole lot of patience to draw and to not to rush and go fast. And yes, also at the same time i understood that if this method was used precisely with all the patience one has, the results are incredible, yes, they are. Just how we could draw the world with just lines. What i loved about this one is that the details of a drawing come out to be so amusing and the fineness of the work just catches one’s eyes. They did caught mine.
