Here, we present you the final model, a 3D abstraction of the place Dadar. After a lot of changes in plans, confusion, trials, here is the final model we present.

This model is based on different aspects of Dadar that we chose to compile together and form this. The aspects are: bird flight pattern, colors, architectural perspective, congestion and the essence of the place.
Next comes the colour pallet of the place. Dadar at first is dominated by the colours of pigeon but when you look around, dadar is a combination of mulitple colours which derives from different shops, markets of vegetables, textiles, flowers, different installations, people etc. The colours of the triangles in the rod are the colour combination of three different installations. While the balls hanging down represents all sorts of market. We’ve used the thread to hang them out as a vendor uses them to hang their flowers and how they hand it in the tunnels. The base of the model is black, to represnt how the people who work their absorb the heat of the sun while working hard to earn a living like the colour black absorbs heat and at the same time the blocks have been painted in vibrant colours to show how the hustle bustle and the fuss of the place is always in motion no matter how high the sun is.
To project out the Bird Flight Pattern, we’ve used metal sheets to present it. The topmost spiral metal strings are the representation of the pattern in which all the pigeons fly in the kabutar khana.
Then it is the architectural aspect of the place. We’ve presented this by projecting the pattern of the roofs of the area on the triangles. Three major installations of the place Dadar has also been presented by using their colour combinations on the triangles. Then there is not only what the human eyes see but also the bird eye perspective has been taken into consideration. When viewed from the top, like the birds do, we see the place dadar as a symbol of peace with kabutarkhana in the centre and three different major ways from it.

The first thing that comes in the notice of eyes is the congestion of the place with all the tracffic, installations, markets, vendors, and numerous people walking around. Dadar is crowded beyond limits. When we visited the place for the first time, we saw that there was a huge truck sort of stuck in a narrow lane and we wondered how is that even is possible and how will it get out. So, with all kinds of vehicles and everything, Dadar never fails to surprise us with it’s huge crowd.
When one drops out of the Dadar station and moves out, he/she is hit by the fragrance of mogra flowers due to its a huge demand in the market and how the ladies wear them as a symbol of beauty. We represented this characteristic by spraying mogra fragnance around the model. Then comes the smell of pigeon’s shit as one moved towards the kabutar khana. This was projected by the pigeon feathers. The craziness of the place has already been shown using different aspects. Though, dadar is a mess of everything and nothing is in order there, but at the end of the day one finds what he/she was looking for.
