In week 11, each one us had to turn up with an iteration and thus, several iterations all together as a group to present the certain era we were given. The iteration I came up with:
My iteration is to run a drama piece. The notion on which the play hinges upon is the variance between the era we were given and the times of today. The story-line of the play is focused on a discussion between family members. The main characters will be the parents and their children who will converse the most about the considered topic while side characters like the grandparents will only have a dialogue elaborating their orthodox concept. Different aspects like modernisation, social and political issues, revolution in societal standards and living, discriminatory status, and a few more will be taken into attention to bring out the disparity.
A feature that we had to consider was the interaction of audience with the iteration. For this item I considered this idea to question the audience at times while conversing upon different pieces to identify their perspective too and also to make the iteration more audience-friendly.
Another feature to reflect upon was the build up process of the iteration where we had to take in an element or context from each stream that the group members were pursuing. Here are the following streams with their elements to be involved and how in the iteration:
- Product Designing: Usage of different props that prevailed in the two eras.
- Fashion Communication and Styling: Costumes of the characters according to the generation.
- Strategic Design Management: Strategies build up to take the play into action.
- Interior Designing: Usage of the available space and designing of the set of the play.
